Steadfast has opened a fourth line, AI in Defence, covering RAG-based cognitive assistants, on-premises soldier language models and air-gapped decision support. The reference architecture keeps retrieval, inference and logging inside the customer perimeter, with no data leaving Indian soil. The line is at concept and reference-architecture stage; figures published are design targets.
Counter-unmanned systems now sit inside the drones division so that detection, soft-kill and hard-kill are engineered against the same airframes the company builds. The I2 DEFENDER interceptor, the NEMESIS remote weapon station and the ARES-SHIELD architecture are presented as one layered offering with a single command and control picture.
The SDF KAM-17, KAM-17 S and KAM-117 S completed an internal endurance firing programme at the Narendrapur facility, with barrel wear, extraction reliability and point of impact shift recorded against the approved configuration drawings. Results are being compiled into the qualification dossier that accompanies user trial submissions.
